"Art is something that lets you breath with a different kind of happiness" -- Anni Albers
I've worked in various art and design settings, getting to experience this sentiment offered by Annie Albers. I've found that creative work not only lets us breath with a different kind of happiness, but also expands and connects us to our humanity. Provokes us to critique the systems in which we live. Enlivens other ways of seeing and opens new modes of expression.
This is why I work in art, design, and education. My work experiences include rebranding and managing communication for Intersection for the Arts, curating exhibitions and public programs for the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History, tutoring inmates at San Quentin State Prison, and assisting contemporary artists at New York fine art paper mill Pace Prints.
